I’m 14, he’s 7. We share a room 1/2 of the time. He snores like a freight train!!! It drives me up the wall. I used to just move him to the couch, and shut the door behind me. My mom said that had to stop, though. It’e so bad that he asked for Snore Stop for Christmas (not joking)! Any ideas??

This could actually be a medical condition, like adenoids or tonsils, a doctor could check his airways and possibly something could be done. You’d have to convince your parents though to take him. Thing is, he may not be getting good quality sleep either, which will affect his growth and all sorts of things.

maybe try breathe-right strips? – so he breathes through his nose, not his mouth.
i’ve also heard that sleeping with something under your middleback will help you sleep with your head tilted back, lessening the chances of snoring. i’ve never tried that though.
i snore super bad, but i have sleep apnea, so nothing really helps except for the c-pap mask.

Try rolling him onto his side when he starts to snore. Sometimes when you lay on your back, you can cause parts of your mouth and throat to vibrate as you breathe. Also, if he is overweight that may be contributing to the problem.

Young kids should not be snoring. He needs to go see a doctor and get that checked out. Not having enough oxygen while sleeping is dangerous.
