Is It True That If A Person Snores Loudly, He Has Heart Problem? How Can I Get Rid Of Snoring?
Posted by: Alan in Stop Snoring Remedies, tags: Heart, Loudly., Person, Problem, Snores, Snoring, That, TrueNo, loud snoring doesn’t necessarily mean a person has heart problems. Sometimes it’s simply a problem related to weight and is cured by starting a healthy weight loss and exercise plan. Sometimes the problem is related to the persons adenoids. The surgery to correct this is routine and has a great success rate. The problem could also be due to things like mouth breathing during sleep, dry throat and mouth, or using the wrong type of pillow.

My daughter snored like anything when she was very small. Eventually, we were advised to have her adenoids taken out, which we did (but not ourselves!). That was the end of the snoring.

The very BEST advice, that I can offer you with any “punch” to it, is this: Firstly; consult a qualified medical doctor for a referral to a SLEEP CLINIC. At the Sleep Clinic the attending physician will test the individual for a condition called, SLEEP APNEA. IF the individual has APNEA detected, he or she will be offered a solution to change the situation. Usually, an alternative to surgery for APNEA is to ventilate the patient with a C. P.A. P. MACHINE, which circulates air both, into and out of the patient as he or she sleeps at night. DO NOT TREAT THIS CONDITION CALLED SLEEP APNEA lightly !!! The late Reggie White a.k.a “the minister of defence” for the NFL’s Green Bay Packers, died in his sleep because of sleep apnea. Sleep Apnea causes health issues such as, high blood pressure, heart problems, kidney disorders and even, heart and stroke issues. Obesity is tied into apnea in a lot of cases but NOT all. It has been estimated, that about 4% of the male population has it and 2% of the female population has it. Yes; snoring loudly and often can be a sure sign of this killer condition !!!

IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE HEART PROBLEMS. IF YOU ARE CONCERN ABOUT THE SNORING GO TO A SLEEP LAB AND HAVE THE SLEEP APNEA TEST RAN. IF YOU HAVE APNEA YOU WILL NEED A BREATHING MACHINE TO WEAR AT NIGHT, AND THAT WILL HELP THE SNORING. MY HUSBAND AND I HAD THE TEST AND MY HUSBAND HAD APNEA, I DIDN’T HAVE IT. I SNORE LOUDER THAN MY HUSBAND. MY HUSBAND CARDIOLOGIST SAID DRS. ARE BEGINNING TO THINK IT MIGHT BE RELATED TO HEART PROBLEM. I HAD A FAMILY MEMBERTO DIE WITH A MASSIVE HEART ATTACK AND HE WAS WALKING AROUND IN THE BARRACKS OF AN ARMY CAMP.

I don’t think so. It may be a sign that you have sleep apnea which causes breathing problems. I would consult an ENT.

Snoring could be a sign of sleep apnea, which can cause health problems. There are some nasal strips (Breathe Right, I believe) that help open the nasal passage to let the air through, but if this is a constant problem, you may want to consult a doctor just to be safe.

No, it is not true. Snoring occurs when you hold the back of your mouth a certain way and breathe in, or when phlegm builds up in the nasal passages. Taking a decongestant helps in some cases, or you could try a Breathe Right Nasal Strip, I’ve heard they can work too. But in conclusion, snoring pretty much has nothing to do with your heart.

snoring is caused when the tongue muscle relaxes and drops to the back of the throat. When i was younger i had my tonsills out and i havnt snored since but that isnt the reason i had them out!

Yes, please seek medical attention. When a person is snoring, they are not resting. You can also stop breathing, it is called sleep apnea. My dad was a big snorer and died from a massive heart attack. GET TO A DOCTOR.

Funny you should pose this question. My husband is a major snorer, went to his doctor and it may be sleep apnea. His MD wants to book him into a “sleep clinic”. We still await the appointment date. Sure hope it helps. Such an annoyance and yet not his fault.
