he likely has obstructive sleep apnea. sometimes a CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) machine can be used to alleviate the snoring, but i wouldn’t recommend doing it as a first option. first try:
1. weight loss- often just dropping a few pounds will resolve it
2. have him sleep on his side
3. if he has enlarged tonsils/adenoids he may benefit from surgical excision
4. if nasal congestion is part of the problem, try simple OTC decongestants

Have him checked out by a physician. My husband also has the same problem. We have tried adding a pillow (worked for awhile) and also taking some allergy medicine ( is working right now!) We’ve talked about getting separate rooms because he is such a terrible snorer , like his father, but I think I can live with it. My trick is to get to sleep before him.

Cover his head with a pillow- lol. I always have to wake my husband to have him sleep on his stomach-that usually stops it. I sometimes use earplugs but this makes me uneasy because I want to be able to hear my children if they awake. Maybe your hubby should see a Dr. but for now earplugs are the way to go.

Could be several different issues here. Sleep Apnea can cause loud snoring. Of all things being over weight can cause excessive snoring. Please get him to a doctor who specializes in sleep disorders. Your life will be much quieter if they can find the cause of the snoring.

breath right nasal strips, sleeping on his side putting pressure on the tip of his nose . If none of these work wake him up enough to tell him to change positions that he is laying in. Most importantly is make him an appointment with a sleep lab to be test for sleep apena.. Sometimes a fan blowing in their face with quiet them down

I know how you feel my husbands sounds like a train some nights. The only thing I can tell you is to try the Breath Right Snore Relief it’s a throat spray. I got it for my husband and it seemed to quit my him down a good bit to where I my self could sleep.

Usually when someone snores is because they are laying on their back. Ask your husband to turn to his side, and you will see the difference. The noisy sounds of snoring accur when there is an obstruction to the free flow of air.
