What Could Cause Sudden Snoring?

I am wondering what could cause me to just all of a sudden start snoring. I am 41 and have gained a little weight in the last year but just wondering if that is all it is or if it could be something serious?

Are you stressed lately? How little was the gained weight? Since when have you’ve been snoring? Obesity is one factor that causes snoring. Stress also plays a part. Another, if you have respiratory problem. Observe for few more nights. Sleep stress-free. If there is still snoring, consult a doctor. For your snoring, change positions when sleeping. Sleep lying on your side to prevent obstruction of the airway.

it sounds as if you might have sleep apnea. this is a condition wher you suddenly stop breathing ,then draw in a deep breath causing you to snore loudly, have your doctor test you for this.
