Snoring is a sign of a possible sleep disorder. Have him take this quiz and if he scores 10 or more, take the results to his doctor and tell him about the snoring issue. Snoring can be fixed and if so, he can get a GOOD nights sleep. A good nights sleep will reduce his chances of a heart attack, it could bring down his blood pressure. It will leave him feeling rested and awake during the day with more energy. Here is the link. http://www.stanford.edu/~dement/epworth.…

Loud snoring can be a underlying issue that is much more serious. Particularly if your husband is overweight. He could has sleep apnea which could lead to sever problems. Sleep apnea is more common in men. If your husband does have sleep apnea his is stopping breathing several times a night and will lead to high blood pressure and cornary artery disease. There are several easy treatments, first please take the time to get him tested. It is easy going to a sleep clinic overnight (plus you will get a great night sleep that night). Dropping a few pounds sometimes helps, proping up pillows so he is sleeping at more of an angle, or an apnea machine. You could have saved his life by asking this question. Please make an appointment for him to see is doctor to be sure. Your doctor can also give all of the options available to help the condition. You may want to also look up Sleep apnea to find out more. Good luck! And I hope you will get a good nights sleep.

My husband snores loud also, he said that he had tried to use the strips but they did not work. I wasn’t there, so who knows how accurate that is. My friend told me to try this because her husband snores also, squeeze the sides of his mouth until it opens and it will supposedly stop. I tried it once and my husband stopped for a few minutes, turned over and started doing it again.
Try to see if he can sleep on his side or on his stomach. My husband doesn’t usually snore in those positions. Good luck!!

Have he try the following:-
Throat Sprays and Nasal Sprays
Throat spray can coat the soft tissues of the throat with lubricating oils. While nasal sprays can reduce congestion or the swelling of nasal tissues. They both allow the air to move more freely and lessening the noisy vibration.
Nose Strip
It applied externally and is a kind of cheap device nose strip which help increase the breadth of the air passage and thus reducing snoring. The devices such as adhesive strips which help to hold the airways open of your nose and the plastic devices to hold open your nostrils
