Punch him in the sternum. Just enough to stop the snoring but not to wake him…..Either that or a plastic grocery bag over his head…..

Punch him in the nuts. He should stop then.

First off you want to get him to the family doctor. Then maybe a sleep study. Then he might be using CPAP.

try and get him to cut back on cigerettes
can get nose strips over counter to wear at night to open airways
tape it – let him hear and then encourage him to see GP for advice

Sew a golf ball into the back of the shirt he wears to bed. Put golf balls in his side of the bed.

Get to your physician and have a sleep study done. He may have sleep apnea (quits breathing) and can have serious side effects. Nothing to mess with, could effect the heart. Like another answer stated he may need a c-pap machine

If he has SLEEP APNEA none of the other cures will work.
See if there is a sleep clinic anywhere near you, so he can be examined and tested by docs who know about sleep problems, snoring, and sleep apnea.http://www.sleepdisorderchannel.com/osa/
is just one of the sites that can give you info on symptoms and treatment.
but it wouldn’t hurt to try the Breathe Right strips until you can get to a sleep clinic.

Tape a golf ball to the back of his neck so he won’t lay on his back. That’s when most snoring occurs.

Plug his nose.

It is possible that this person has sleep apnea. If he not only snores, but goes without breathing from time to time, is also overweight, has other health problems, does not sleep long enough or tires easy – could be apnea.
The first and about the only thing one can do on their own is to drop some pounds. This really helps the sleep and the breathing..
To check out sleep apnea try- http://www.sleepapnea.org- and also-
http://www.sleepfoundation.org- Check with a doctor.
