What should I do about my loud snoring?
Posted by: Alan in Stop Snoring Remedies, tags: About, Loud, Should, SnoringI’ve been told by my boyfriend that I snore very loudly when i’m sleeping. It was so worse the other night that he had to sleep in the lounge. What should I do about it? I’ve been a snorer my whole life I think, since I was just a little girl but I didnt realise it was this worse till my boyfriend made it clear to me. Does anyone know any remedy that can help? Thanks

Try buying clear nasal strips. They open up your passages to help you breathe at night.

get a sleep study done to see if you have any apnea to go along with it. then you might get a cpap machine which at the very least will eliminate snoring. but you’ll have to sleep with a mask over your nose with a tube running to a mini air compressor…

Make sure you’re not congested before bed. you can buy nasal strips that are to help open up the passage way. Not sure if these work though. Also try making sure you are propped up enough and not laying flat on the bed. And sleep on your side and not your back. Good luck!

It could be several things, sleep apnea being the most common. I would suggest very strongly you consult your family physician and ask for a referral to a sleep disorder clinic. They will properly diagnose your problem and find you a remedy. You don’t have to always be a snorer, we know more now . When you snore you’re not sleeping well nor is your bf.

First, you should be checked by your doctor to rule out any health issues. My daughter used to snore really loudly when she was only 3 years old. We found out her tonsils were HUGE and she had to have them and her adenoids removed. After that, she never snored again. She also had to undergo a test at a sleep lab for possible sleep apnea. The test showed that before she had the tonsilectomy she would stop breathing up to 6 times a night but afterward she didn’t.
It may be worth seeing your doctor if you think you have sleep apnea because it can often lead to other problems.
