I need advice A.S.A.P!!!!!!!?
Posted by: Alan in Stop Snoring Remedies, tags: A.S.A.P, Advice, NeedMy husband snores so loud and I’m a light sleeper, we’ve tried some over the counter snore remedies, like nasal spray, and this thing you place on top of the nose, but they didn’t work…
Does anyone have any suggestions or home remedies, or know of something that really works?
I need help please!
I don’t want to have to sleep on the couch anymore just to fall asleep…

Most large hosoitals have a sleep clinic. Have him be evaluated. There are some resources that work well.

No home remedies here, but he may need to see a doctor. Excessive or loud snoring can be a sign of sleep disturbances. His primary care doctor can refer him to a sleep specialist.

My husband had the same problem. His ended up being cause by a surgery he had previously had on his sinuses from when he was in a car wreck. I’d recommend that he talk to his Doctor, To have him looked at. They might be able to recommend something. And it might be a sign of a more serious conditiona, like Sleep Apnea.

I think that he needs to see a doctor in order to determine why he snores. Could be that his sinus passages are not well formed. Sometimes body weight is a factor. Could be some sort of allergy, or environmental factor.
I’ve only ever heard of weight loss, and surgery to repair the sinus cavity actually worked. I’ve never had someone tell me that they were cured by an over the counter remedy, or a special pillow, though I guess they sell the heck out of them.

I would suggest that you have him checked out by a doctor. It sounds like he might be suffering from sleep apnea. Which is a serious condition that causes him to stop breathing in his sleep and snoring is the natural response to it waking the body up.
Also, calming music and the smell of lavendar will help calm a person to not snore.
Or if you are like me, try to go to bed before him, and fall asleep so that way it doesn’t bother you as badly.
