Question by xenypoo: Do you think Obama will win the Presidency because too many Republicans will be snoring, not voting?
I am feeling this may be true, since I saw it with the election of Bill Clinton, when less than 1/2 of registered voters even showed up to vote, in BOTH of Bill Clinton’s runs.
One against Bush Sr., and the other against Bob Dole. 39% of registered voters, actuallt voted!
Where are you going to be on voting day, Republican’s?
Sitting down watching football, or snoring America’s freedom, and livlihood away on your 20 year old couch?

Will it be Obama, or McCain?

McCain – we will already be up and working when the polls open.

  2. Tom B says:

McCain has failed to gain any real interest. I think he’s got about 20 clinton supporters, 5 original supporters and is trying to convince his wife to vote for him.

  3. Laissez-Faire Guy says:

In a sense, I think you are right. Obama has energized the Democrat constituency. I see no such energization of the Republican base by McCain.

As much as I hate to say it, I think that means an Obama presidency.

First of all, I don’t snore. And you can bet, on Nov. 4 you will not be catching me scratching my a$$, I will be at the polls voting lol

  5. Calvin says:

I think Obama will win regardless this time around, but yes I agree that many Conservatives will not be voting for McCain in this election (either voting for another….or not voting at all).

It is not being done “accidentally” either. I personally know quite a few that intend to do just that. (To include myself).

Nope. Republicans have a great record of going out and voting. Maybe because we actually care about our country. Democrats have over 18 million more registered voters, so I find it amazing how Republicans can continue to win elections. That is because we care and we go out and vote. I’m sure all the 18 year old voters the Democrats are counting on to go out and vote will let them down again, as they did in 2000 and 2004.

This could be the case, but I doubt it and here is why. Even though many do agree that McCain isn’t the best option, they Republicans will still get out there and vote. They figure that voting for McCain is a better option than voting for Obama. So what that means is, that if they don’t vote many will feel as if they have lost out. Even though it may be true that McCain isn’t the best choice, not voting is even worse because it signifies that they did not win as a collective party. So voting for McCain signifies not surrendering to the Liberals. If Obama does win it will be because many voted for him, not because the Republicans will sit the election out. The Republicans have too much pride to sit it out…although I don’t doubt that there will be some that won’t vote, it just won’t be in large number..

I’m sure most republicans are keeping a close eye on this one!

Just from observation, I see Republicans now releasing a lot of pent up hate. They’ve had to endure eight years of criticism of their President, with only one year of giving some in return during the 2004 campaign season. The smear attacks, lies, and petty squabbles about the Democratic candidate (and it really didn’t matter who it was) are now coming in like machine gun fire.

However, whether the Republicans show up at the polls this election remains in doubt. One thing is for sure: the Democrats’ frustration with our Commander in Chief, as well as the Republican candidate this election, is very REAL. You can be sure that will translate into votes.

On the other hand, the Republicans’ frustration is largely fabricated. It is grounded in mostly false allegations and speculation about the Democratic candidate. As a result, their candidate is already struggling for funds while most of his constituents are giving little more than lip service to his campaign.

Meanwhile, the Democratic campaign is surging ahead with plenty of passion, support, and donations coming from its base. This isn’t a game to them. They are serious about this election. They are the ones who are now living paycheck to paycheck under this administration, struggling to make ends meet with the continuously falling value of the dollar, all exacerbated by this lingering, half-a-trillion dollar war. Their problems are in the here and now. They are experiencing them first hand.

The Republicans’ problems concern worrying about people halfway around the world. They worry about people they never met, nor ever will meet. For the most part, their problems aren’t personal. They rely on the media to instill their concerns. Very rarely do they experience them first hand.

Taking all this into consideration, there should be little doubt who will win this election.

I will be out and voting early .But I am an independent. and I will be voting for Mr. McCain ,because he is not a show boat politician..My president is to be the leader of our country. not out there looking like a showboats preacher. dancing around acting like a monkey. Our country in bad need of a serious leader.who know what he doing. You can have a clown when ever you want. for 50. bucks..
