Yes. A quick bash on the head usually shuts em up for a while.

There is these new pads that you put on your nose and yes it does work because it opens you nose so you can breath and not snore. You can find It in and pharmacy.

Pinching their nose usually helps for a little while, but BreatheRight Nasal Strips work well.

ELEVATE HIS HEAD ON PILLOWS. DOES HE HAVE ALLERGIES.? SOMETIMES TURNING ON YOUR SIDE. BUT IF IT IS SEVERE HE OR SHE COULD HAVE SLEEP APNEA. WHICH CAN BEEN CAUSED FROM BEING OVER WEIGHT, TONSILS AND ADENOIDS, DEVIATED SEPTUM . SLEEP APNEA IS SEVERE, AND CAN CAUSE STROKES, AND HEART ATTACKS

No, there is not besides the suggestions above. Do not blame your family member as they are not able to control it and it is not their fault.
I have sleep apnea and prior to diagnosis, my snoring strained a friendship while traveling together. My friend and I tangled over it and I don’t think he realized that I could nothing about it other than to stay awake. That was the begining of the end of our friendship.
If they stop breathing for a period of time and then suddenly and loudly take a breath, it could well be sleep apnea, which is life threatening as outlined by answerer above.
