Does loud adult snoring affect newborn baby sleeping patterns?

My husband snores loudly during the night while sleeping. It’s so loud that sometimes it even disrupts my sleep. He’s had his adenoids removed and even tried nasal strips to prevent it, but none have been successful. Is his snoring going to negatively affect our coming newborns sleeping, and if so what can we do to resolve the matter?

it will at first its a new sound to him and a loud one, but babies and adults adjust to be able to deal with their surroundings after a few days.

Depends on the baby. Some sleep like the dead. Others are easily woken. The bigger concern is that loud snoring can increase the risk of your husband having a heart attack. Weight gain is one of the most common causes of snoring in adults.

No, it shouldn’t affect the baby’s sleep. There is an amazing expert named Dr. T. Berry Brazelton who studies new born behavior. I saw a video where he has a sleeping newborn in his arm and rings a bell right near the baby’s ear. The sleeping baby flinches, but stays asleep. The second time he rings it, the baby’s mouth twitched a tiny bit. The third time, there was no reaction. This was to show that their brains are programmed to shut out noise. It was amazing really! I buy this stuff called Snore Stop for my husband. It’s a spray that you spray once in the back of the throat and once under the tongue right before going to sleep. It works! Every once in a while I have to wake him up to take it again but it works. It’s over the counter and you can get it at Walmart or Target (a tad cheaper at Walmart) near the nasal strips, decongestants, etc. Usually near the floor. It runs about $8. Totally worth it!

Yes it could since some newborns sleep lightly and could wake up easily. Try some of these cures. http://www.slideshare.net/sarahjkaser/your-snoring-cures-best-cure-for-snoring. perhaps one will work for your husband.
