Question by ?ƒ Manxieº µ?: Help on sleeping and sleeping aids?
I’m 16 and I’m going away for a short trip with my parents in october and we’re all staying in the same hotel room. Problem is, I find it difficult enough to get to sleep on my own, and near impossible with someone else in the room as even slightly noisy breathing keeps me awake, and my dad snores so loud it sounds like a chainsaw, so i doubt i will get any sleep and it will ruin the trip :(

So i was wondering if my doctor would give me sleeping pills just for a few days or whether you have to be tested for insomnia first? Or are there any non-prescription pills that work well (i live in the UK)? And does anyone have any good tips on getting to sleep? Thanks :)
