you might have to change your eating habits. also your sleeping habits are off. try to get the proper amount of sleep every night. also working out will help.

Question by questionfordad: Why does my dad make loud snoring noises sporadically when he is awake?
My dad is diabetic, has high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and has been hospitalized for two strokes. Lately, when I got to visit him, he breaths heavily- while awake- and then produces a loud snoring sound that cause some of his body to tremble as well. It sounds just like a snore but he is not asleep.

Hey may be a shallow breather. I do this too sometimes because in the past I used to breath shallow and am still paying for it. Occasionally, I will suddenly take a deep breath with a snore coming as an effect of my deep breath.

Maybe he is catching his breath?

I read an answer on here saying that snoring is caused by vibrations in the soft pallate from the person not being able to breath through the nose properly or from having inflamed adenoids.
Well why does this not affect them when they are awake?

did the lights in a meeting ever hypnotize you and you felt like you were swirling and couldn’t keep awake to hear the speaker?
Did you ever forget your name? or where you lived?
What wierd stuff like those things has happened to you?
