Question by Peace69: Does my child have sleep apnea?
My child is a four year old who snores mostly throughout the night and will sleep through an atomic blast. She has said more recently about feeling tired after getting home from daycare. This has been going on for the last 3 or 4 months. She normally gets 10 hrs of sleep a night, and we keep her mostly on a strict sleep schedule. She seems like in a daze most of the time, attention span is waning, and even though it has always been a struggle, she doesnt have the safety concerns that most kids have. For example, she will try and run in a parking lot (mainly cause she is excited), but she has been told about being careful mutiple times. Even though my wife and I think that she would eventually be in gifted and talented, this recent behavior has caused some concern.
What doctor (specialist) should be seen about this? Has anyone experienced this before? Improvement seen after treatment? Any changes in the home to be tried before seeing a doctor?

Question by hellothere: My child does snoring noise while breathing, what could be the reason?
n the last 2 weeks I hear snoring noises while my 1.5 years old is breathing. This is happening only at the morning and usually after eating yogurt. I can hear snoring noises only for 20-25 minutes and then noise goes away. During this period of time she can’t talk loud, she just whispers. What could be the reason for those noises? I will get her to a doctor in few days, but was wondering is it something serious?

My 5 year old sounds like he talks through his nose and seems like he has a hard time breathing… he even stops breathing in his sleep. Our doctor said the nasally sound is because of his adenoids and we should get them removed..another thing maybe she put something up her nose and now ts stuck??? I am not sure. I wouldn’t worry until I received an exam and a doctors opinion. Good luck

Stop giving her yogurt for now, it could be anaphylaxis and her throat swelling from an allergic reaction.
