Question by momma 2 Sydney 9-8-09: My step dad is snoring and it’s driving me crazy…should I throw a pillow at him?

Question by ANSWER MY QUESTION!!: Husband’s snoring is driving me NUTS!?
He had his nose broken when he was little (parents never got it fixed), he’s ALWAYS snoring (even when he’s laying on his side). Those breathe right strips don’t work and he won’t go to the doctors for a mouth guard. Are there any home remedies I can get him to try that will work? It is making it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep, and I’m a heavy sleeper. Plus if he sleeps on his side he gets sleep apnea. He won’t sleep on his stomach because he has digestive problems.

Yes Yes Yes. Get him an appointment with your physician. At a basic level, there are sprays that will help. More drastic–surgery. But, snoring can be strenuous on the heart, so treat it right away!

i know there are remedies out there but for now how can i make him stop his damn snoring before i blow a gasket! it makes me go nuts! i can not put cotton on my ears…tried that and can hear it…can not go in another room ….my bed is cozy as heck!!! can not make his cozy butt go there either…he wakes early and is sleeping like a baby but here my butt is on here help! no really i am about to go bananas! any remedies? lift his head turn to his side pinch his nose what?!?! help!! thanks!
