Question by Daniela: How do you manage your partner / spouse who has a habit of snoring making loud noise?
Have you found any effective solution ? What do you think is a reason for his/her snoring ? Physical , psychological or both ? or something else ? Are you able to sleep well on background of such snoring ?

Answer by Allyson K Often snoring can be alleviated by losing weight, exercising more, quitting smoking or cutting back on drinking. My boyfriend has sleep apnea and, despite my requests, has refused to do anything about it (long term snoring and sleep apnea have been linked to heart attack and stroke). It’s gotten to the point where I find it more difficult to sleep without him snoring next to me (we’ve been living together for 2 years), although I have found when it’s really bad that if I put pressure on one spot just next to his sternum about 2/3 down his ribcage, he’ll stop for a few minutes and be quieter when it starts up again, but that may just be an anomaly.

Question by hellothere: My child does snoring noise while breathing, what could be the reason?
n the last 2 weeks I hear snoring noises while my 1.5 years old is breathing. This is happening only at the morning and usually after eating yogurt. I can hear snoring noises only for 20-25 minutes and then noise goes away. During this period of time she can’t talk loud, she just whispers. What could be the reason for those noises? I will get her to a doctor in few days, but was wondering is it something serious?

Answer by noname7104 My 5 year old sounds like he talks through his nose and seems like he has a hard time breathing… he even stops breathing in his sleep. Our doctor said the nasally sound is because of his adenoids and we should get them removed..another thing maybe she put something up her nose and now ts stuck??? I am not sure. I wouldn’t worry until I received an exam and a doctors opinion. Good luck

Answer by Ethel Stop giving her yogurt for now, it could be anaphylaxis and her throat swelling from an allergic reaction.
