Question by chicojaunito: Who Should I See About Sleep Apnea and Snoring?
My dentist needed to do surgery, so I was put to sleep and the doctor told me that I had some breathing problems. What’s happening is I’ll stop breathing for a bit, then when my body realizes it, I’ll gasp for air by reflex. It happened five times during an hour long surgery and he said it may happen 50 times during a night. Happens when awake sometimes too. Also I snore like nobody’s business.
He says I should see a doctor about this. What kind of doctor should I see?

You could always put in earplugs and just tell him it’s a new home remedy to clean the ears of disruptive materials! Or tell him calmly and sincerely that he should try and avoid being stressful at work as this can lead to snoring.

Question by Trisha C: I fall asleep and snore during beauty treatments such as massages & facials. Should I be embarrasssed??
When I get beauty treatments done, I like to be relaxed. I don’t plan to fall asleep but thats what happens. Take the other day, my roommates & I went for pedicures. I close my eyes and get relaxed (that’s what I remember). They tell me once I fall asleep my mouth pops open & I start snoring really loud. (I am a mouth breather who snores). They say the serene peaceful environment has been invaded by a SNORING LOUD GROWLING BEAR!!! They say people laugh at me, get angry due to all the noise. I’m not trying to be insenstive, but I’ve paid my money, so what with the sound?? Do you agree?? Shouldn’t I be left alone?
1. Have you ever seen someone sleep & snore during beauty treatments (patrons, massage therapists, etc.)
2. If a massage therapist, etc., did you finish the treatment or pretend you did?
3. What would your reaction to the snoring be? (patron, massage therapist?

Alot of my clients fall asleep during their massage. This tells me they are very stressed, and I provide not only a great massage, but a comfortable enviorment for them to relax in. Now, during beauty treatments, i haven’t seen too many clients nap, but yes it does happen on rare occasion. For the sake of others around you, i’d say get a little more sleep. Its o.k. to enjoy what your recieving, but if its really loud snoring, this may create a negative enviorment for the other customers.

Question by ????????????3: Who should sleep on the couch?
Before you get all bent out of shape please know that I absolutely love my husband but his snoring is driving me crazy. Since we have been married my husband has gained weight and has started snoring really bad. At times it is like sleeping with a motorbike. He bought a mouth guard that really helps with his snoring but takes it out in his sleep because it feels weird. Now he says he cannot find it. Every night that we sleep in the same bed I nudge him constantly and get very little sleep. We also have two children that sometimes do not sleep through the night. Our three year old has developed a habit of climbing in our bed early in the morning as well. I tell my husband that he needs to sleep on the couch but he complains that it hurts his back. I think that I should not have to sleep on the couch to escape his snoring when I am not the one that snores and if the kids need something I would have to tend to them from the couch. He has also rolled over on top of me in the middle of the night and I am afraid he will do the same to one of our children if left in the bed with him. He sleeps through everything and I get very little sleep. He will not talk to his doctor about his snoring and I am seriously reaching my breaking point. What should I do?
Sleeping pills and ear plugs are out of the question. If my kids need someone in the middle of the night or someone breaks in our house or there’s a fire someone needs to hear these things becasue he won’t.
The three year old is not allowed to stay in our bed for more than a couple of minutes but I am the one that has to take him back upstairs, again losing more sleep because Sir Snoozealot is oblivious that anyone is even awake or needing something. I would hate to think of him climbing in bed with daddy (while I am on the couch) and getting smooshed.

Question by Angel O: My cats have a stuffy nose what should I do?
I have taken them to the vet and she put them on 3 different antibiotics over the course of 3-4 months. They got better, (only making snoring type noses occasionally) so we the vet stopped treatment. Now their as bad as ever, and we can’t
afford to keep them on antibiotics forever! Help!

BTW they have no other symptoms, coats are shiny, they are energetic, eat well etc

Take it in the bathroom and run hot water so the steam will loosen it up.
