Question by 80sdreams: Doberman puppy snores are there any solutions to fix?
I have read about some people on yahoo answers who have dogs that snore looking for solutions and people respond with it’s cute etc.. that reallly annoys me because it’s not anything near being cute I have another dog and he does not snore both of us cant sleep when the puppy is in the room so I put him in another room of the house this of course works fine but is there any other fix to this if it continues he sounds like darth vader and sometimes there is even a little bit of a whistle to it, I may want to take my dog camping when he gets older but cant because the snoring will keep everyone awake including my other dog… it’s not cute at all, it’s a big problem especially for light sleepers so what do I do always quarantine him at night or is there something I can buy that helps… I am pretty surprised he snores since Dobermans dont have flat faces like a bulldog for example maybe he will grow out of it? Also the vet says there is nothing wrong respitory wise or with lungs etc

I have a solution! A simple one too!! Ear plugs for you :)

In all seriousness, if it bothers you that much you need to try to ignore it. I know it is easy for me to say, but heck… if I could get used to my husband’s snoring… there is hope for you!

Question by Hammyxx: I can’t sleep when my brother snores! Any solutions?
I have to share a room with my brother when we go on holiday and he snores (when he isn’t snoring he is breathing very loudly which is also annoying). It spoils the holiday because i am always tired from lack of sleep. Please help!

Well, if you don’t need silence, you could try going to sleep with your headphones on and a CD playing (so it stops after an hour or so), I have yet to strangle myself in the night, and usually once I am asleep, it doesn’t wake me up.

Failing that, go to the chemist and get some earplugs. They are not perfect and I find I lay there focusing very hard on being able to hear just to confirm to myself that I can, lol, but they are a help.
