Question by Sleeper: Snoring or just deep breaths or something more serious?
My roommate complained that I started snoring for the past few weeks and showed me a video clip of me sleeping. In the clip I was inhaling very deeply, making a quite audible sound. However, I wasn’t making the typical fluttering sound people produce when they snore and my mouth was closed. So technically I wasn’t snoring, right? Can anyone tell me the possible causes and solutions to it? Can it be a more serious medical condition?

Could be an obstruction which isn’t severe enough to cause a loud sound. If you are often tired during the day, you may have sleep apnea. If you feel fine, then you have nothing to worry about.

Question by apple picking™: What is something I can do to stop my roommate from snoring?
I don’t sleep that much, but when I’m awake I hear his snoring and it pisses me off. I want to take a baseball bat to his loft and wake him up, but I don’t want to break his bed [i'm really not that angry].
So what do I do [other than leave the room]?
Like it’s ok when people snore, but his snoring is ridiculous, it almost sounds unhealthy.

Often it can be weight related. My uncle snored something awful and lost 60 pounds and now he doesn’t snore at all.
