***Courtney;s POV*** Andy and me were sleeping in the loft, which was, like, a tradition that had always been honored since the time we were six. So, naturally, the floor was covered in chips, chocolate, cheetos, and Jones soda {AN Jones is this pure sugar cane soda. It;s my favorite!}. I was sprawled out on the floor, looking through Andy;s CD;s and she was on the couch reading a magazine that her mother had gotten her. The boys were in the room next to us. And Andy was totally oblivious to the fact that Nick liked her, but whatever. Since we were right above the door downstairs, we heard the super obnoxious doorbell that my father had insisted we install. I looked at Andy like who-would-be-at-your-door-at-2:00-in-the-morning. She just shrugged and let me follow her downstairs, which I didn;t trip on! Yeah! Anyway, back to the suspense. -Hello?- Andy asked in her man voice, which made me almost crack up. Possibly because I had just had four cans of pure sugar cane soda. -Um. .. . This is Ashlee. Andy;s cousin.- that really harshed my sugar mellow. Ashlee lived in New York, all the way across the country from California where Andy had moved for her mother;s new job. And she hadn;t even called, which was really unlike her. So Andy opened the door as quickly as she could, almost hitting me in the nose. And there she was. Tall, tan, and beautiful, but quite a bit tired looking, as if she had run all the way here. Franglitter’s travel blog entry: “Waking up in the middle of the desert in a train somewhere between Agra and Jodhpur was amazing if not slightly confusing (considering we were meant to be in Jaipur at this point!) Didn’t get much sleep all night thanks to the disgustingly loud snoring of the old man on a nearby bunk, and I semed to be lying right over a wheel… Still, was pretty exciting, and we were so relieved to get out and into a quiet early morning Jodhpur. After the stresses of the previous few days, Han and I decided we needed a little luxury and splashed out on an 8 pound per night room at a haveli hotel in the heart of the old town and found ourselves in a gorgeous huge princess room! Everything was pink pink pink! Even the net curtains! Made a chang from the cell we had in Agra. The haveli was bliss with a loungey restaurant area on the balcony and lots of sari curtains and traditional indian paintings on the walls. Mehrangargh fort was bang next to us, up a steep cliff – very imposing and impressive. The most stunning thing about Jodhpur for me though was the gorgeous cornflower blue colour of the buildings in the old city (apparently it keeps the buildings cool and acts as an insct repellant – maybe should try painting myself blue to get rid of the mosquitoes…) One disadvantage of the pretty …

Question by Marshy: what do you think of my story?
i know its quite a long story but if you could just read it and give me feed back on it , i know grammer might not be perfect but i want to see what you think of the story

“Oh lets go into that bookshop, I want to find the new novel by Simon Harding.”

Sophie has just dragged me into another bookshop to see if they have the new Simon Harding novel and I really don’t want to do this anymore I’m getting tired and I need to sit down for a rest. Since I was diagnosed in September I really can’t do as much as I used to be able to.

“Hannah I’m just going to ask that man at that desk if he knows were I would find the Simon Harding Novel”
“Sophie I have a sore head and…”
“just take a seat by the door I won’t be long”

“Hannah, come on lets go”
“did you get the book?”
“yea”
“Great, so can we go and find somewhere to sit down for a while because I’m getting really tired and my heads sore”
“are you ok, is everything all right, did you take your medication this morning?”
“stop panicking Sophie, I’m just tired that’s all”
“and your sore head is that ok, because you really should get that checked out to make sure everything is going ok”
“you know Sophie you worry far too much about me, when there is nothing wrong at all”

After walking down Main street for what seems like ages we eventually find a cafe, and I’m glad because I’m getting really tired and my head is so sore, so I think I’ll go home after this.

“Hannah do you want to sit down over there and I’ll go and order, my treat for dragging you around town to get that book”

This cafe is quite a nice place, it has one bright red wall at the back with the counter and till and the others are all white. There are only three rows of tables each one containing four tables and chairs, with the walls at either side being like one, long bench for the tables I have chosen a seat in the middle of a row up against the wall.

I feel really tired like I could just go to sleep right here right now, I’m not going to because this is a public cafe but I really could, and my head is so sore I wonder what’s going on as it’s been like this all week on and off, I will have to tell Dr Mont on Thursday when I go to see him.

I wish they would put the air conditioning on its really warm in here, I’ll just take of my scarf and jacket. Still too warm, maybe I should tell Sophie to change my order to a glass of iced water instead of hot chocolate. I decide to go and tell her to change it so I slide across the bench away from the table and then try to stand up but things are a bit wobbly and my legs start to shake so I sit down. Right let’s try again, I stand up and start moving on my jelly legs but the room is spinning so very fast that I decide not to in case I fall over and people start to laugh at me for tripping over nothing, so instead I sit back down in my seat. I decide to call Sophie but when I open my mouth no sound comes out. What is happening to me this is weird, I can’t talk or walk and my head feels weird, it can’t be the cancer because Dr Mount said I would start to feel tired from the treatment but in a few months I might start to get better this is not meant to happen. So what’s going on?

I feel really light headed now like I’m going to float off somewhere, maybe I will just put my head on the table and rest it, how about I close my eyes for a while and rest until Sophie comes back, NO must stay awake in case I snore how embarrassing that would be and in the middle of a cafe too, no way,… but my eyes are so heavy and I could just close them for one minute…

“Can you lift your head so I can set this tray down on the table? Hannah MOVE. I can’t set the tray down as your taking up half of the table, so budge over. Hannah this is not funny people are looking. I’m going to tickle you if you don’t move now…. right you asked for it” I set the tray down on the table next to ours and tickled her under her arms but no response, I carefully lifted her head up and looked at her face but there is no response, again, I lifted her hand but it just flops out on the table like a dead fish. “Oh my god HANNAH” I scream “HANNAH this is not funny open your eyes. Hannah, Hannah wake up! Come on now wake up, I say as I shake her, just open your eyes. Please Hannah don’t leave me now” I cried tears streaming down my face.
But it was no use she was gone.

it’s not really happening, maybe this is just a dream, I close my eyes and concentrate, on Hannah, on her long blonde hair, hazel eyes, her new vintage jacket, how she sits so elegantly, even when she’s attached to a machine in hospital, I laugh at the memory’s and wonder if we are sitting at my house on the bed talking about old times how things used to be before September…

When I finally open my eyes I see a woman of about 60 with a mass of curly brown hair covering her head, brown eyes to match, and a beautiful face with not a wrinkle in sight,

It was about three in the morning as I walked down the street. People were stumbling home from bars and yellow taxi’s sped down the streets like usual. It was a cool autumn night and a nice breeze ruffled my jacket. I pulled it closer around me as people looked my way.
Despite the cold air I was sweating and breathless. My left side was burning and blood made my shirt and jeans stick to my skin. I had long ago ditched the black cloth hat that had concealed my hair and mask and flipped my jacket inside out to reveal a nice teal color instead of dark brown. I was almost home now, only a block or so away and I was anxious to get back before I was missed.
I kept my head bowed as a group off woman, drunkenly stumbled past me, laughing hysterically. The adrenaline that had kept me going all night was wearing off and the tired, achy feeling was replacing it.
The old run down Silver Street apartment building was in front of me now and I breathed a sigh of relief. I looked behind me to make sure I hadn’t been followed then cut through the weed infested garden to where the wooden milk crates where pilled under the half open window. I stepped ontop of them, sticking my figures into the cracks between the cemement blocks to keep my balance. I skimmed up the wall expertly until my figures reached the window sill and I pulled myself to. I cringed and bit my lip as my bad left side bumbed the frame. I fell to the floor as silently as I could however.
I had landed in the small bathroom. It was lightly lite with a nightlight plugged in by the sink. I stood up and flipped on the light, I didn’t even have to take a step to turn in it on the room was so small. I looked at myself in the mirror. My hair was a mess and there were twigs and leaves stuck in it. I picked the biggest pieces out then ran my brush threw it to get the smaller bits out.
The right side of my jaw was red and swollen, turning into a nasty bruise and there was a jagged cut under my right eye that was slowly oozing blood. I tore off a wade of tolite paper and ran some water over it before pressing to the cut. It stung but after it was cleaned up I smeared some anti bacterial goo on it which made it cool and tingly.
I stripped off my jacket and shirt next to reveal my torn up side. Long shallow scraps spread across my ribs and down over my waist and my hip to diseapear down into my jeans which were also ripped and blood stained. I started to clean and bandage myself up. I stripped out of my jeans and hid it along with my shirt in the cabinet under the sink. I grabbed the shirt that Logan had left lying on the floor along with his other dirty clothes and slipped it on. Turning off the light I crept out of the bathroom and through the little living room/kitchen. My little brother Gage was asleep on the couch, the tv on quietly. I pushed open the bedroom door, cringing as it squeeked and slipped inside.
Logan was sprawled out on the bed snoring softly. I pulled on a pair of pajama pants then crawled into the bed beside him.

THE VIDEO TOOK FOREVER! IT TOOK ABOUT 3 HOURS! So i entered a short story for a contest in my school and unfortunately, i left it untitled because i couldn’t come up with a decent title. Now i’m adding it to my writerscafe profile and i want a name that’s catcy and has to do with my story so if you could help, that would be awesome. :]
What it’s about:
it starts off with ‘its raining, its pouring, the old man is snoring…’ Sixteen year old Sienna Hawthorne is an outcast at her new school and she has no intention of making friends, that is until Hayden wont take no for an answer. She unwillingly agrees to let him take her home, as its pouring like no other outside, and on the way to her house, she opens up slightly and begins finding a friend in Hayden. Once they arrive to her house, she invites him to come inside to dry off since they’re both soaking wet still. they go in and sienna goes to her dad’s room to grab some extra clothes he never wore for Hayden. she gets this weird feeling and leaves quickly, closing the door behind her. They are in the laundry room in dry clothes, just talking, when Sienna mentions her mother’s dead and trying to make less awkward conversation, hayden offers to get sienna a cd he thought she might like. when he leaves, all the doors slam and the lights go off, sienna thinks he’s pulling a prank on her but she sees hes still walking to his car. she runs to her dad’s room, thinking theres an intruder but instead she finds her dad dead on his bed with a bottle of anti-freeze on the ground. She picks up the antifreeze and begins hearing voices to kill herself and she sees hayden who tells her to kill herself and the world would be better off without her. just as shes about to drink the antifreeze, she hears a crash and in comes the real hayden who stops her from killing herself. Stuff starts flying around the room and sienna realizes something supernatural is after her. she wants to give up but when something almost hits hayden, she decides she has to end this mayhem. she challenges the thing to appear and her father’s corpse begins to creeping toward the teens and then drops to the ground, where now a demon who is all charred. he wants the two teens dead and just before he gets to them, sienna’s dead parent’s spirits appear along with all the other souls the demon killed and they drag him back to hell. hayden and sienna find a note explaining that the demon had followed Sienna and her family from the first home and her mother killed herself to save sienna but it hadn’t been enough so her father killed himself to save their daughter. it ends with hayden and sienna sitting outside in the porch while the rain is pounding again, waiting for the cops to arrive. there’s a rainbow outside and the last words are:
“it’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring, he went to bed and bumped his head, and didn’t get up in the morning…”
