I can’t help you with the loud snoring and talking in his sleep but the grinding of teeth and twitching maybe helped with a regular dose of magnesium citrate. Tried it on my children.

Question by Teena V: What is the dental work that requires four post implanted and then the false teeth snap on the post?
I guess the post is implanted into the bone and the teeth are snapped onto the post…Is this a good way and cost effective way of my problem? Here is my problem, I have a cross bite with an under bite. I have 2 teeth that is over my bottom teeth and the rest is back behind the bottom teeth and I have TMJ… Please help all the dentist are different and says, braces, cut the jaw down, veneers, no veneers, I’m just so confused. Oh this one dentist said he would fix my mouth for $ 45,000 and said that his treatment would stop me from snoring, I told him that he was crazy and that is why you have a beautiful office and drive an expensive car.

Nothing can beat your natural teeth. I wouldn’t be looking at dentures if you still have your natural teeth. Implants are very expensive but are great for replacing a tooth or to help stabilize dentures. Getting dentures and implants are not going to help with your TMJ problems. Your best option may be to go with braces and have surgery to move your jaw–if needed. Have a consultation with an orthodontist (someone who does braces, and they usually work with oral surgeons if you would need jaw surgery) and they will be able to help determine the proper treatment plan for you! Good luck.

Question by cwaters63@sbcglobal.net: How to stop teeth from grinding at night?
a couple of weeks ago I was awoken by an odd squeaking noise. Upon investigation I discovered it was my roommate grinding his teeth. It is impossible for me to fall back asleep while he’s doing this so it’s affecting my sleep. This problem is confounded in that he’s hard hearing as well so his excessively loud alarm only wakes me up….2 hours before i need to be awake…but not him. So then I have to try to go back to sleep with him grinding his teeth. Oh and did I mention he snores really bad too. And he refuses to wear a guard to stop the grinding. Is there any other way to stop the teeth grinding?
thanks

Question by mtrK: how can i get my husband to stop snoring and grinding his teeth at night?
my husband is so loud at night and wakes me up with his snoring and grinding his teeth. and he grinds them loud! i’ve mentioned a mouth guard that they make for people who grind there teeth at night but he wont wear one because he says that it will be uncomfortable. and if he has his mind set on not wearing one, there’s no talking him into it, so that’s out of the question. and he wont get snoring strips either. i hate waking up all night from him and then having to wake him up to stop. then he’s right back at it in 5 minutes. he eventually gets up and sleeps on the couch during the night. got any solutions for me??

Question by Retro: Teeth clenching guy I’m dating is cramping my style?
I have been dating a guy who I starting sleeping with , but he clenches his teeth. It is annoying ,and I’m loosing sleep.
Ever since back in April-May 2009 he complained that his dentist drilled too deep and it hit a nerve.
And he spent $ 1000 getting his wisdom teeth pulled, $ 300 for a splint that was plastic made clenching his teeth worse, and $ 80 online for a device that is suppose to stop snoring and also the clenching now he is bitting it just like he did with the plastic splint. I am going out of my mind loosing sleep, and I have fussed a couple of times like why didn’t he just get a hold of his dentist for starting this mess in the first place. Its been 1 year , and 5 months of this going on…
I have even tried sleeping in another room ,and I still can’t get to sleep.
I have thrown fits to nearly breaking up with him , but he cries and tells me he loves me.
Now I have gone as far as I can take it ,and now I am getting even more frustrated ,and cranky from no sleep.
And I feel like my style , and my health is being cramped.
What do I do?
