Ted wanted to stop snoring for his wife. If he wasn’t keeping her up with his snoring, she was sleeping in a different room. He visited Sereno, The Center for Snoring Solutions and appreciated their comprehensive consultation, the pricing and the comprehensive treatment. After the procedures, which took about 15 minutes, Ted felt a little numb from the treatments but he was excited to see the results. Four months later, Ted is back. The procedures were a success. He’s sleeping more even and uninterrupted and his wife is able to sleep in the same room again. Ted wanted to reduce his snoring as part of a larger plan to improve his health for their marriage. The Pillar Procedure and Nasal Turbinate Reduction procedures were a step in the right direction. To learn more visit: www.serenocenter.com

Question by .: Snore treatments, what are a waste of money?
I was looking in Boots (the chemist/pharmicist) and there were throat sprays, an acupuncture ring and of course a mouth piece thing you wear to realign your jaw. Are these treatments, well the spray and ring just manufacturers playing on people’s insecurities to make money or are they worth a go? I don’t have sleep apnea by the way.

I know I don’t have sleep apnea because I took this pack home and it tested me while I was sleeping. Apparently, I scored 8 out of 40 and so had very mild sleep apnea. Consequently, the doctor said I should go and see the ENT (ear, nose and throat specialist) . The ENT doc said i could try the mouth guard thing made up by dentist. i do have TMJ problem though so not too optimistic about that.

Sleep apnea should be diagonsed from a reputable sleep clinic. There may be another reason for his snoring such as weight etc.
The usual treatment is sleeping with a positive air flow machine (I think it is called Cpac. If he stops breathing his oxygen level goes down and it can be a very dangerous health condition. Have him see a Dr. that specializes in sleep problems.
